Periodicals

Remember to put your Works Cited in alphabetical order, use hanging indentations, and double space them

Example for Journal in Print:

Lewis, Charlton M. "Method of Teaching English Literature." The School Review, vol. 11, no. 3, 1903, pp. 187-199.

In-text citation: (Lewis 191).

list the author and page number at the end of the sentence followed by a period.
or, use the author's last name in the body of your text and put the page number in parenthesis at the end of the sentence followed by a period.
- Lewis notes the following quote/paraphrase (191).

For journals in a database, at the end of your citation list the database name in italics, followed by the URL or the DOI

Example for Journal Online:

Beaman, Jeremy. “Metal for the Mind.” Modern Age, vol. 63, no. 2, Spring 2021, pp. 39–43. EBSCOhost.

Note: If the article does not have a doi then the citation ends with the name of the database.

In-text citation: (Beaman 41).

Example for Journal Online with a DOI:
